The sportswear manufacturer, Adidas says it could potentially lose $1billion as a fallout of its decision to cut off controversial rapper, Kanye West.
Adidas cut off its partnership with Kanye West over his erratic behavior and anti-semitic pronouncements in 2022.
The loss is expected to come from unsold inventory of Yeezy shoes and clothes it still owns. Adidas was in partnership with Kanye West to promote the Yeezy line of clothes and shoes to millions of fans that follow the rapper.
The company is in a dilemma on what to do with the Yeezy branded merchandise which it cannot promote or sell due to the lingering controversy.
