Enugu State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has suspended the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama, former President of the Senate, Chief Ken Nnamani, and others from the party for anti-party activities.
The state secretary of the party, Dr. Robert Ngwu, who announced the suspension and expulsion cited the affected party members involvement in anti-party activities during the 2023 general elections.
The party in the statement also recommended the expulsion of former governor of the state, Sullivan Chime; Director General of Voice of Nigeria (VON), Osita Okechukwu; former Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Eugene Odo; Special Assistant to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Flavour Eze; Joe Mmamel and Maduka Arum, from the party.
It is not clear why the statechapter is taking this action against the officials, most are whom are currently serving officials of the Muhammadu Buhari led Federal Government of Nigeria.
