Bronny James, the 18-year-old son of American basketball superstar, Lebron James, suffered a cardiac arrest and was rushed to hospital today during a training session at the University of Southern California USC), where he is a freshman.
Bronny has been now been released from intensive care and put under a stable condition.
He reportedly collapsed during practice at USC where he is a student. A call for an ambulance was made which rushed him to hospital.
Bronny committed to playing basketball for USC in May and took the iconic no 6 Jersey won by his father, Lebron James.
Bronny had been in the news recently after taking his rumored girlfriend Peyton Gelfuso, 19, to his senior prom party. The duo was subjected to racist abuse from social media because Payton is white and many of the trolls were calling her a goal digger.

Bronny James is considered as one of the players that could join the 2024 NBA Draft which would put him playing in the same league as his father. His impact on the USC basketball scene has been so immense that USC was planning to construct special VIP facilities for celebrities who would want to come to the school to watch the son of basketball king Lebron James.
Although, not considered to be a player in he mould of his legendary father, Bronny James who is 6’ 3” compared to his towering father who stands at 6’ 9”, is expected to make the transition to the NBA from next years draft.
The collapse and health scare would draw more scrutiny as he tries to make his career trajectory through school and the paid professional ranks.
