The blogger responsible for revealing the Texas property of Nigerian Minister of State For Labour, Festus Keyamo, has threatened to reveal more details of other properties owned by the Minister and All Progressives Congress (APC) stalwart.
The blogger with the Twitter handle @PIDOMNIGERIA was reacting to the lengthy denials of corruption by Keyamo on the purchase of the property located in Texas, United States. Keyamo had tried to downplay the issue by posting pictures of his fishing expedition in the United States.
Keyamo has said he did not use looted funds to purchase the property but rather the funds came from his savings. However, the property was bought in 2021 when he was neck deep as minister in Nigeria.
Now the blogger is promising to release details of another property in Ikoyi, Lagos, Nigeria. Ikoyi is one of the most expensive sections of Lagos, favored by the rich and famous. Properties situated in that location are very expensive, and out of reach of most Nigerians.
The blogger is revealing that the property is on Mekunwen Road, Off Queens Drive, Ikoyi.
This saga is about to become more messy with these revelations.
It is particularly worrisome that a Minister of State For Labour in a country where unemployment rate is at a disastrous 30% range, is associated with ownership of several luxury properties in Nigeria and around the world.
To make matters worse, Festus Keyamo was a former prosecutor for the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) ,charged with investigating and prosecuting corrupt government officials and fraudulent business people. Keyamo is also a spokesman of the Bola Tinubu/ APC Presidential Campaign Council
