Chelsea and Italy midfielder, Jorginho has moved across town to rivals Arsenal in a £12m deal.
This is one shocking January deadline move as it was totally unexpected.
Arsenal were hoping to sign Moses Caicedo from Brighton but their multiple bids up to £70m was rejected by Brighton, who insisted their Ecuadorian youngster was going nowhere.
It would be interesting to see where Jorginho, 31, would fit in Arsenal coach, Mikel Arteta’s system.
Chelsea have been very busy in this transfer window and it is expected that some first team players might move to accommodate the new players brought in by the new owners.
Jorginho who arrived from Napoli with former coach Maurizio Sarri, was the last player expected to move from the London team in the January window. Jorginho’s contract elapses in the summer, and there were some speculations on his future with the expected arrival of Enzo Fernandez from Benfica of Portugal.
