The appointment of Roy Hodgson as the new manager of Crystal Palace, looks like a very wise decision as the team has been winning games and are now clear of the relegation zone.
Crystal Palace on Saturday beat West Ham 4-3 in an explosive game at Selhurst Park.
West Ham opened scores in the 10th minute through Tomas Soucek off a poor header clearance by Michael Olise of Crystal Palace.
Jordan Ayew made it 1-1 for Crystal Palace in the 15th minute.
Returning striker, Wilfred Zaha make it 2-1 for Palace in the 20th minute with a solid strike.
Jeffrey Schlupp added a third for Crystal Palace in the 30th minute to increase the advantage for the home team.
West Ham’s towering striker Michail Antonio added one back for the hammers in the 35th minute with an impressive header into the Palace net.
The second half saw two more goals, one penalty slotted in by Eberechi Eze of Crystal Palace in the 66th minute, and Aguerd scoring for the Hammers in the 72nd minute to make the scores 4-3. Crystal Palace go 11th on the table above the fumbling Londoners, Chelsea.
In another match in the English Premier League, Wolverhampton Wanderers were taught a bitter lesson by in-form Brighton with a 6-0 thumping at the American Express Stadium.
Deniz Undav, Pascal Gross and Danny Welbeck all scored twice each to keep the European dreams alive for Brighton. The Brighton Manager, Roberto de Zerbi, said this was the best performance he had put up as a coach. He said his team is playing quality football at a very high level. It is also amazing how the career of ex-Manchester United striker, Danny Welbeck , seems to have been reinvigorated at Brighton. A victory well deserved for the Seagulls
