Multichoice and the organizers of Big Brother Naija (BBNaija), reality TV show have announced the return of its 8th edition of the reality show and will premiere on Sunday, July 23, 2023.
The new edition which is themed “ BBNaija All Star ” will feature ex-housemates of BBNaija who would compete for the grand price, the winner of the show will walk away with the grand prize which has been increased to N120 million Naira among other consolidation prizes.
According to the organizers, the show will last for 70 days and end on the 1st of October, 2023.
Former housemate and lawyer, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu is also returning as the show host.
The company’s Executive Head of Content and West Africa Channels, Busola Tejumola, disclosed that the new edition will feature a new game tagged, ‘The Black Envelope game’, while adding that 30 fans would be eligible to win N1m each, by participating in a fan lock challenge where they have the opportunity to lock in their top three favorite housemates all through the season.
She further stated that the ninjas will return for the new edition, in addition to the usual weekly wagers, Head of House Challenges— which will now last for four hours, Arena Games, and other sponsored tasks.
The news of the new edition has been making the rounds on social media and from the reactions, fans are anticipating which of their favorite former housemates would be returning for the “All stars” edition.
Recall that Big Brother Titans, which featured both Nigerian and South African housemates was held earlier this year, with South African female, Khosi, winning the show and taking home the whooping sum $100,000, while a Nigerian male, Kanaga Jnr, emerged as the first runner-up.
