Frank Lampard is poised to make a shocking return to Chelsea as care-taker manager till the end of the season.
Lampard who was sacked by both Chelsea and lately, Everton, will be taking charge of today’s training session in a sensational retun to Cobham training facility of Chelsea.
Speculations became rife when Lampard was spotted at Stamford Bridge for the Chelsea – Liverpool game on Wednesday, which ended goalless.
Bruno Saltor, the assistant of sacked manager, Graham Potter, was in charge of the game in which Chelsea attackers could not put the ball in the net despite all the created chances.
Lampard will now be expected to be in the dug out for Saturday’s game against Wolves and the Champions League Quater Final game against Real Madrid in Spain next Wednesday.
Lampard was in charge of Chelsea during an 18 month spell from July 2019 to January 2019 before he was sacked and replaced by the German, Thomas Tuchel.
Chelsea are reported to be interviewing managers Julian Nagelsman, Luis Enrique and Mauricio Pochettino to take charge of the club in the Summer.
