Big Brother Naija season 6 housemate, Pere Egbi, has expressed his concerns over what he perceives as “hate” towards the Igbo tribe in Nigeria.
From a post shared on his verified Twitter handle on Tuesday morning, May 30, the reality TV star said the hate against the Igbos in Nigeria is real and stated that he feels for them.
Pere pointed out that he is not Igbo or Yoruba but he is really concerned about the level of hatred the Igbo tribe face in Nigeria. He further revealed that a known politician once told him that an Igbo person can’t rule the country.

Pere Oghenemaro Egbi born on 27th June, 1985, in Warri, Delta State. He is originally from the Urhobo tribe of Delta State and the first child of two children in his family.
Pere had his primary and secondary school education in Warri, where he was born and bred as a teenager. He later moved to Lagos state where he continued his education at Command Secondary School, Lagos.
Pere left for the U.S. to study at the University of Texas, where he graduated with a degree in Nursing and subsequently became a certified and professional nurse.
He afterwards served in the US military for six years before moving back to Nigeria to pursue his career in acting. Before participating in the 2021 BBnaija season 6, he had featured in many Hollywood and Nollywood movies. Pere also has a thriving real estate business in lagos, Nigeria, where he presently resides.
