Nigerian actor and Labour Party state Assembly candidate, Olumide Oworu , alleged that he and members of his campaign team were attacked by unknown thugs while campaigning at Eric Moore area of the state on Thursday, March 17. They attack led to property damage with injuries to several people.
Oworu is campaigning to take over Surulere constituency 1 from fellow actor and APC candidate, Desmond Elliot, in Lagos state house of assembly.
The attack was made known by one of the supporters of the Labour Party candidate in the state, he made a post on Twitter, calling for an ambulance.
“One of our guys has been stabbed by thugs activated to attack @OlumideOworu. Just happened in Eric Moore. We need an ambulance ASAP,” he tweeted.
This is coming barely few days after he (Olumide Oworu) was previously attacked with his team in Surulere Lagos, while campaigning on Tuesday, March 14.
