Former Governor of Abia state and senator representing Abia North in the National Assembly, Orji Uzor Kalu has lamented over the Naira scarcity prevalent in the country. He revealed that he and his family are suffering over the inability to have access to cash.

Kalu made this known during a program on Channels Television on Monday, February 20, according to his claims, his family members are starving and can no longer cook due to the Naira redesign policy that led to cash scarcity.

 He said;

“You can see the policy is right but I don’t keep money in my house. I am suffering.

The other day, my house manager told my wife in Abuja that we have no money to cook food. My wife was virtually roaming around and we feed over 250 people every day. It is a problem to me and to everybody.”
