Popular Nigerian female singer, Temilade Openiyi known by her stage name, Tems, has bagged her first Grammy award in the 65th Grammy Awards for the category of Melodic Rap Performance category.
The delectable songstress won the award for her vocals and writing contribution to the trending hit ‘Wait For you’ by Future featuring Drake and herself, this is her first Grammy award win after four nominations.
However, it must be pointed out that the Grammy was not for her individual effort but a collaboration with other musical acts. Burna Boy remains the only single “fully” Nigerian artist to have won an individual Grammy Award.
