No Possibility Of Victory For Obi, Atiku In Court
The Federal Government has sent a note of warning to Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, over alleged incitement to violence following the presidential elections outcome.
Lai Mohammed, Minister of Information, gave this note of warning in Washington DC, USA while speaking with the international media of the outcome of the 2023 elections.
Lai Mohammed said Obi and Datti Ahmed, the running mate of Obi, cannot be threatening Nigerians to end democracy of Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress(APC) is sworn in on May 29th, 2023.
He called Obi a desperate person who does not believe in democracy. Mohammed also said what Obi and Datti were doing is treason.
He is quoted as saying ” Yo cannot be inviting insurrection, and this is what they are doing”
He further added that Peter Obi and Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) had no possibility of victory in their challenge of the election results, as they both failed to meet the constitutional requirements to be declared as president.
Mohammed said only Bola Ahmed Tinubu met the constitutional requirements.
Lai Mohammed is a close associate of Bola Tinubu.
Peter Obi had challenged the election results which were largely associated with violence, voter suppression and outright fraud. Obi had filed a challenge in court citing many instances and giving reasons why the elections should be overturned.
Obi had largely galvanized the youth segment of the country who turned out in large numbers for the Labour Party in the presidential election.
