Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, on Monday, March 6, visited Mrs Jennifer Efidi, the lady who was stabbed by political thugs while she went to carry out her civic duties in Surulere, Lagos state.
Efidi’s badly injured face went viral on social media on February 25, she was named the last presidential and National Assembly election heroine, for returning to her polling boot to vote despite being stabbed initially by some thugs at the polling unit.
Peter Obi posted pictures of his visit to the victim on his Twitter account saying; “Today, I visited Mrs Jennifer Efidi. She was attacked on 25th February in an attempt to stop her from voting, but she stood her ground. Jennifer is one of the great icons of Nigeria’s democracy.”
