Award winning super star singer, Davido Adeleke, popularly known as Davido has gifted the whooping sum of N237 million to 424 orphanages across the country, through his charity foundation.

Davido sharing a post on his Instagram page on Thursday, July 20, confirmed disbursing over N200 million to help several orphanages across the country.

The ‘unavailable’ crooner revealing giving has been a tradition for him over the years, further thanked people that donated funds towards the actualisation of the philanthropic gesture.

Davido wrote;

‘’I’ve always wanted to use my platform to serve others. Thankful that through your generosity, I’ve been able to do so. We recently disbursed over N200m to several orphanages in Nigeria, a tradition that started a few years ago around my birthday. Thank you to everyone who donated. With your help, we are changing lives. This is what I mean when I say We rise by lifting others. These are words in action. God bless you all!”

This is coming after the backlash and call-out that has surrounded the singer for the past few weeks.

Davido has been called-out by various women alleging he impregnated them, the most consistent amongst them is an African American lady named Anita Brown.

She took to her Instagram stories, posting receipts of chats and other confidential documents to prove she had a relationship with the singer. She accused the singer of persuading her to terminate the pregnancy but she didn’t oblige.

The aggrieved lady, denied knowing davido was married, her rants has since increased her followership on Instagram as Nigerians trooped to her page to get more insights on her accusations.

David Adeleke in the heat of all the accusations didn’t debunk nor give credence to the buzz making the rounds on social media at that time.

Chioma Rowland-Adeleke, his wife on the other hand hasn’t made any comment as regards the accusations levelled against her husband.
