Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party has declared that the Labour Party would challenge the results of the election in which INEC declared Bola Ahmed Tinubu of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) as the winner.
Obi spoke at a news conference today in Abuja in which he asked Nigerians to be peaceful but remain committed to a new Nigeria. Obi said the people of Nigeria were robbed and deceived on election day.
He declared he would stand by all Nigerians that want to see a country where to be called “Your Excellency, then the process of arriving at your office must be Excellent”.
Those were indicting words referred to the widescale alleged anomalies in the election which INEC declared for Bola Tinubu.
On the issue of questionable judgements from the Supreme court, Obi said he was not fighting for himself but for the future of the children including that of the judges. He affirmed that the judges would do the right thing when confronted with the unassailable evidence which they would be confronted with.
Obi said the people fighting against change are determined to maintain the status quo and he and the Labour Party were equally determined to bring that change.
Furthermore, Obi asked young people not to despair, but to come out forcefully and vote Labour Party in the March 11th gubernatorial and state houses of assembly elections.
